Terms of Service

Plain terms for a free service: use it fairly, don't abuse it, and understand what we do and don't promise.

1. The service

Let's Consent provides a consent management platform (CMP): a consent banner you can embed on your websites, a preference center for your visitors, and storage of consent records so you can demonstrate compliance. The service is operated by the entity named in the Imprint.

2. Free of charge

The service is free of charge, at any traffic volume and for any number of websites. There are no paid tiers, and "free" is not an introductory offer. We reserve the right to apply fair-use limits only where necessary to protect the service from abuse.

3. Your account

You sign in with your email address; keep access to that mailbox secure, since it is your key to the service. You are responsible for the actions taken through your account and for the users you invite into your organization.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the service for unlawful content or activity,
  • attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the service,
  • misrepresent consent records or use the service to deceive your visitors,
  • resell the service as your own without attribution.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

5. Your responsibility for compliance

Let's Consent gives you the tooling for cookie compliance, but you remain the data controller of your own website. Configuring your banner truthfully — declaring the cookies and services you actually use — is your responsibility. The service does not constitute legal advice.

6. Availability and warranty

We work hard to keep the service fast and available, but we provide it "as is," without a guaranteed service level. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude warranties for a free-of-charge service. Nothing in these terms limits liability for intent, gross negligence, or injury to life, body, or health.

7. Changes and termination

You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may update these terms; material changes will be announced to account holders by email with reasonable notice before they take effect.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. Mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your country of residence remain unaffected.
